The San Miguel Writers’ Conference and Literary Festival is unique in that we are both a Writers’ Conference (with world-class faculty for all levels of writers) and a Literary Festival (bringing some of the world’s finest authors to San Miguel.)
Excellence
We have put San Miguel on the literary map of the world with an international reputation for excellence.
A Destination
We have established San Miguel de Allende as a leading destination for literary and cultural tourism. The City estimates our annual event brings about $3 million usd into into the economy of San Miguel, reaching all levels of the socio-economic scale.
Authors
We bring world-famous authors to San Miguel in an intimate setting. Past speakers have included Margaret Atwood, Laura Esquivel, Barbara Kingsolver, Wally Lamb, Scott Turow, Gloria Steinem, Billy Collins, and dozens of other distinguished and beloved authors.
Integration
As a fully bilingual event, we encourage the Mexican and foreign communities to experience genuine integration, something both communities frequently talk about desiring.
Tri-Cultural
Our unique Conference brings together the literary communities of three countries — Mexico, the US and Canada — to exchange literary styles and stories.
Teen Workshops
Teen Creative Writing Workshops — We provide more than 100 local
teenagers opportunities to be inspired by keynote speakers, teachers, and writing workshops. The experience has been life-changing for many
participants.

Your donation is tax deductible, as we are an educational and charitable organization. We will provide you with a receipt.
