Come and share your work with other writers at one of the Conference’s most popular gatherings!
All writers registered for the Basic, Full, or Whole Enchilada Conference may read or perform a poem, a song, a short piece of fiction or non-fiction, or a brief section excerpted from a long prose piece or poem. It can be a work-in-progress or a published piece.
Please plan on six minutes, and time your readings in advance! Give us a delicious taste of your work!
Open Mic will be held during the afternoon breaks, 3:30 to 6:30 PM, on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and is hosted by poet, Judyth Hill.
To participate in Open Mic, e-mail Judyth at firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to be scheduled for the day(s) you would like to participate in Open Mic.
Judyth will let you know when she has scheduled your reading. Be sure to double-check for your name on the sign-up sheet at the Information Desk when you arrive. You may also sign up for the Open Mic of your choice at that time, or add yourself to more days!
You are warmly invited to attend all Open Mic sessions. Everyone will be heard at least once, possibly even twice. You are also welcome to attend as a member of the audience. The quality of these readings goes from superb to really extraordinary. These are wonderful sessions: a great chance to be heard, and great opportunity to connect with many of your fellow writers!
