Anna Ghosh is the founder and principal agent of Ghosh Literary, a premier West Coast agency with deep roots in New York publishing. Her career includes a long tenure as a partner at Scovil Galen Ghosh Literary Agency in Manhattan.
Over three decades in the industry, she has launched the careers of multiple New York Times bestselling authors. Her list features recipients of the world’s most prestigious literary honors, including the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award, the Guggenheim Fellowship, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Award, and the PEN America Literature Award.
Beyond her work as an agent, Anna has served as a Judge for the National Endowment for the Arts Literature Projects Grants and as a nominator for the Rona Jaffe Award. As a guest lecturer, she has shared her industry expertise at top institutions such as Columbia University, NYU, and UC Berkeley. She has been a featured speaker at Jaipur Literature Festival and more than fifty Writing Conferences and Residencies in North America. Her industry insights and deals are regularly featured in POETS & WRITERS, WRITERS DIGEST, PUBLISHERS WEEKLY and PUBLISHERS MARKETPLACE.
Originally from India, and a graduate of Hampshire College, Anna now lives in San Francisco.
