Jackie Kaiser

Jackie Kaiser has been a literary agent for two decades with Westwood Creative Artists in Toronto, where she represents adult literary and reading group fiction, adult narrative nonfiction, and a small list of children’s authors and illustrators. Her clients have won numerous awards including the Man Booker Prize, the Commonwealth Writers Prize, the Windham-Campbell Prize for Fiction, the Giller Prize, the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize, the Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize for Nonfiction, the Governor General’s Literary Award, the OMC Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature, the Redbridge Book Award, the California Young Reader’s Medal, and the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award. Prior to becoming an agent, Jackie spent a decade at Penguin Canada, where as executive editor she worked with agents, negotiated offers, reviewed contracts, edited manuscripts, and collaborated with colleagues in design, production, marketing and sales.
