Description
A nonfiction book proposal is one part art and one part science. There is a format and formula that gets enhanced by the individual writer’s flair. The objective is to stand out from the deluge of proposals that prospective agents and ultimately editors get every day. This workshop will walk us through the process of crafting an irresistible proposal and will include discussion about an author’s readiness/timing, overview, platform/marketing, competitive titles selection, table of contents, and more. The content applies to memoir submissions as well. Also discussed will be working with an agent, and, yes, dealing with rejection.
