Armando Alanís

Armando Alanís is the author of seven books of flash fiction: FOSA COMÚN (Mass Grave); NARCISO, EL MASOQUISTA (Narcissus, the Masochist); COITUS INTERRUPTUS; SIRENAS URBANAS (Urban Mermaids); DE ROJO ME GUSTAS MÁS (I Like You Better in Red); and the digital books UNA NOCHE DE TORMENTA (A Stormy Night) and TIEMPO PERDIDO (Lost Time).

He has contributed to magazines such as Gaceta, Revista de la Universidad de México, Biblioteca de México, and Letras Libres, among others. He is a contributor to the cultural supplement Laberinto of the newspaper Milenio. He has participated in various flash-fiction anthologies.

Alanís has been a professor and researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de México. He has also taught at the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila and leads workshops in microfiction, short story, and novel writing.
