Colin Dickey
Colin Dickey is the author of five books of nonfiction, including GHOSTLAND: AN AMERICAN HISTORY IN HAUNTED PLACES; THE UNIDENTIFIED: MYTHICAL MONSTERS, ALIEN ENCOUNTERS, AND OUR OBSESSION WITH THE UNEXPLAINED; and, most recently, UNDER THE EYE OF POWER: HOW FEAR OF SECRET SOCIETIES SHAPES AMERICAN DEMOCRACY. His work has appeared in THE NEW YORK TIMES, THE ATLANTIC, THE GUARDIAN, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, THE NEW REPUBLIC, THE BELIEVER, VIRGINIA QUARTERLY REVIEW, ATLAS OBSCURA, and LONGREADS, among many other places. He is also the co-editor of THE MORBID ANATOMY ANTHOLOGY. He holds an MFA in creative writing from the California Institute of the Arts and a PhD from the University of Southern California. He splits his time between Brooklyn and Los Angeles.
