Janis Cooke Newman

Janis Cooke Newman is the author of the memoir, THE RUSSIAN WORD FOR SNOW which was published in several languages and highlighted in PEOPLE MAGAZINE. She is also the author of the historical novel, MARY; MRS. A. LINCOLN, which was named Best Historical Novel by USA TODAY, as well as a Finalist for an LA TIMES Book Prize, and the novel, ‘A Master Plan for Rescue,’ which was named a Best Book of the Year by the San Fransisco Chronicle. She has been teaching writing for the past three decades.
