Since joining HarperCollins in 2018, she has built a commercially and critically acclaimed list, editing bestselling and award-winning nonfiction. Maddie is passionate about developing voice-driven, compelling books that connect with broad audiences and leave a lasting impact.

Maddie Pillari

Maddie Pillari is a Senior Editor at HarperCollins and part of the Harper Influence imprint, where she acquires nonfiction across memoir, narrative nonfiction, self-help, and cookbooks. Since joining Harper in 2018, she has built a commercially and critically successful list, working closely with her authors to develop voice-driven, page-turning nonfiction for broad audiences.

Her list includes New York Times bestsellers such as Uptown Girl by Christie Brinkley, Uncharted by Chris Whipple, Resolute by Benjamin Hall, It Was You All Along, by Russ, and Come Eat and Come Hungry by Melissa Ben-Ishay, along with critically acclaimed books by country music icon Clint Black, Olympic Gold medalist Nathan Chen, Daily Show co-host and correspondent Michael Kosta, viral artist Josh Mecouch, among others.

A Connecticut native, Maddie graduated from Colorado College, where she studied English Literature and Creative Writing. She lives in Brooklyn and can often be found reading literary fiction or walking her red labrador, Willoughby.
