Verónica Flores is a Mexican literary agent, editor, and publishing consultant who has played a leading role in shaping contemporary Mexican literature. Founder of VF Agencia Literaria, she represents authors in national and international markets and mentors emerging writers. Former Editorial Director of Tusquets Editores México, she spent sixteen years discovering and championing influential literary voices while building one of the country’s most respected publishing programs.

Verónica Flores has built a pivotal career in the publishing and literary sector in Mexico. In 2015, she founded VF Agencia Literaria, the only literary agency of its kind in the country, through which she enables the circulation of works across various domestic and international markets. Her work also extends to the education and professionalization of the sector: she teaches novel-coaching workshops and has been invited to give talks, keynote lectures, graduate courses on the copyright trade, and editing courses at highly renowned institutions.
For 16 years, she was the editorial director of Tusquets Editores México, where she discovered and catapulted new literary voices that are currently in the international spotlight. She edited collections considered iconic for contemporary literature, such as Andanzas, Tiempo de Memoria, Ensayo, Metatemas, La sonrisa vertical, Comic, and MAXI.
A graduate of the Escuela de Periodismo Carlos Septién García (Carlos Septién García School of Journalism), she began her professional career as a reporter, editor, and director of various cultural media outlets. Throughout her journalistic career, she interviewed Octavio Paz, E.M. Cioran, Rufino Tamayo, Gabriel García Márquez, Juan Goytisolo, Juan Soriano, Salvador Elizondo, Dolores Castro, and Esther Seligson, among others. She is also the author of the book Eduardo Mata a varias voces, a biography of the orchestra conductor Eduardo Mata.
