About This Workshop

There’s no question that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the literary landscape. Writers are using AI to brainstorm, research, and sometimes even write for them. Editors and publishers use AI to evaluate manuscripts, copyedit, find market trends, and market their books. For some, AI is a tool that helps generate new work with greater efficiency. For others, AI use raises urgent questions about originality, copyright, the future of human creativity, climate and environmental sustainability, global access and indigenous populations’ inclusivity.

This panel brings together experts from the literary world to discuss the many facets of AI and its place in literature. It will be a conversation about the ways in which AI has changed the literary world, where it’s going, and the repercussions of AI use for readers and writers.
