So you’ve signed up for a pitch session with a literary agent… How do you make the best use of those fifteen minutes? In this workshop, a literary agent who’s been on the receiving end of many, many pitches will share tips and tricks on what makes a strong impression with agents and what turns them off. We’ll learn how to succinctly and professionally contextualize your book and pitch it authoritatively, improving your chances of receiving a request for material. Time will be allotted for practicing pitches, allowing you to go to your pitch session with greater confidence and fewer nerves — and maybe even have a little fun while you’re at it (remember, agents are people just like you!).
