You’ve surveyed your journals, typed up reams of notes, and maybe even drafted a chapter (or twelve). Now what? In this workshop, we will explore one of the most critical components of memoir writing: giving it shape. Should you begin en medias res, or would your story achieve more dramatic impact with a circular narration, an “S-curve,” or a “Running E”? Are you constructing a triangle out of your primary characters — or a parallelogram? Come discover both the “aboutness” of your memoir and its inner geometry.
